Add-On Training Programs

Complex Endorsement

  • Complex endorsements are available to any current or past CAA student with a private pilot certificate or higher.

  • Complex endorsements will be conducted in our Piper Arrow (PA-28R-180).

  • CAA insurance requirements require 10 hours of dual instruction in-type in order to rent. Based on insurance minimums and ground lessons, students should budget around $3,750 for a complex endorsement.

Multi-Engine Rating Add-On

  • We are NOT currently accepting any new multi-engine students at this time, due to avionics, interior, and engine upgrades to our aircraft. We anticipate allowing new students Fall 2024.

  • Multi-engine rating add-ons will be conducted in our Beechcraft Duchess (BE-76).

  • Designed to help students add multi-engine certification to of their existing pilot’s certificates.

    Delivered in a short period of time (usually between 5 to 14 days) but can be completely customized based on your individual needs.

    Your experienced instructor will cover all the technical subjects and flight maneuvers in great detail to help ensure you feel proficient and ready to fly multi-engine aircraft proficiently and safely!

    We are here to help make your training a great experience from the first interaction to your check-ride and we want to help ensure you get the highest possible level of training in the most efficient way possible.

  • Estimated cost for a multi-engine rating add-on is around $5,500.00. This amount is based on a realistic number of hours, which is more than the minimum required.

  • Prior to starting training, we would like students to read the following documents to help familiarize themselves with multi-engine aircraft operations:

    FAA 8740

Citation CE-500 Add-On

  • This program requires the student to own or have access to an airworthy Cessna Citation 500 series jet suitable for training.

  • The student's own Citation CE-500 series aircraft will be utilized for all training in this course.

  • Unique, scenario-based approach to flight training that helps pilots get the most out of each lesson.

  • Initial Type Rating - $9,995 & 1-2 weeks (depending on your schedule)

    • 25 hours ground & 25 hours flight

    Recurrent - $4995 & 3 days

    • 10 hours ground & 10 hours flight

    Ground School Only - $3995

    • Zoom or In-Person

    Additional Flight Training for any offering is billed at $299/hour or $800/day - whichever is cheaper
